Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler Power & Process is currently seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to join our team in Cleveland, TN. With minimal supervision, the individual at this level is responsible for independently applying advanced project controls, techniques and analyses. This position is related more specifically to Planning and Scheduling responsibilities. Responsible to develop and maintain the master construction schedule with input from the construction contractors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the master construction schedule
  • Develop bid package schedules for RFPs
  • Develop and implement scheduling standards and procedures, including:
  • Construction schedule integration into the Client program schedule
  • Work breakdown structure – Incorporate Owner’s WBS Codes into Project Budget and Manage Monthly Updates
  • Review Contractor Invoices for Financial compliance with Contract
  • Update internal (Amec Foster Wheeler) and Client Financial Tracking
  • Update Monthly Project Management Reports for AMEC Foster Wheeler
  • Establish Scheduling requirements for contractors
  • Schedule update procedures – Incorporate updates into Master Schedule
  • Check and coordinate contractors’ detailed construction schedules
  • Issue schedule reports, including: Summary schedules, Look ahead schedules, Schedule variance analysis, and Earned value and productivity reports
  • Provide regular updates for the construction section of the Client master program schedule and schedule reports

Skills / Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of a specialized or technical field such as accounting, business administration, mechanical, civil, or electrical technology
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Five years or more equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; listens and gets clarification
  • Understands business implications of decisions
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Treats people with respect; works with integrity and ethically
  • Assesses own strengths and weaknesses
  • Takes responsibility for own actions; exhibits confidence in self and others

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for any employer other than your current employer
