Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently seeking multiple Field Engineers to join our team in Albany, GA. This individual will be responsible for supporting and managing day-to-day operations of a fast-paced industrial construction project in the field.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reporting from subcontractors to include a detailed, comprehensive budget and forecast of labor, materials, tools, equipment, rentals, leases, overhead, and profit; Provide analysis, reports, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with engineering, technical specialists, subcontractors, the Client and the Project Management team to manage the project to the satisfaction of the Client and to the safety standards of Amec Foster Wheeler
  • Write daily reports recording weather conditions, attendance and general work progress; Contribute to monthly reports with scheduling, labor productivity, and procurement stats
  • Coordinate input from quality, safety and engineering
  • Develop and issue Requests For Quotations for services, materials, and equipment
  • Procure commodities, small tools, and rental equipment
  • Develop, track and manage change order work

Skills / Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; listens and gets clarification
  • Understands business implications of decisions
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner

  • Assesses own strengths and weaknesses

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and sit
  • In addition, may require close vision work and travel
