Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Fill / Finish Engineer with at least 10 years working experience to work within our Process Engineering group to support a number of projects in the pharmaceutical engineering sectors at our Philadelphia, PA office.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of process engineering for projects of medium to large size
  • Provide technical direction to other engineers and function as a technical specialist
  • Develop solutions to complex problems
  • Design of clean utility systems
  • Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
  • Ensure proper sequence of operation
  • Prepare specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment
  • Direct activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer
  • Exhibit strong and developed sense of health and safety within the working environment and in the design process, and can contribute to maintaining the highest of standard

Skills / Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in design of sterile fill/finish facilities in the pharmaceutical industry (including experience in oral solid dosage forms)
  • Capability to coordinate resources
  • Familiar with execution of medium to large projects
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to support sales effort
  • Ability to communicate proactively with discipline representatives in the co-ordination of their work
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both Client/Owner
  • Ability to convert the technical knowledge into practical solutions
