Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Associate Environmental Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA.


Key Responsibilities

Multimedia environmental compliance including one or more of the following:  Air, Wastewater,  Groundwater,  Hazardous Waste,  Solid Waste, Contaminated Sediments, Remedial Design, Modeling, POL, AST,  UST, Asbestos,  LBP, MRP, MEC, IR,  BRAC, RCRA,  CERCLA,  Environmental  Permitting and sustainability.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering; MS or PhD preferred
  • 10+ yrs related experience
  • Professional Engineering registration (prefer Virginia)
  • Navy and / or Marine Corps environmental compliance experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and switch gears quickly
  • Ability to work with or without extensive oversight
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory or scientific information to clients
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully in a team environment
  • Must pass drug screening, background check and physical exam
