Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a Junior Level Environmental Engineer to join our Irvine, CA office and become an integral member of our team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Field work including soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling and construction observation
  • Hands-on operating and maintenance of remediation systems
  • Geologic / hydrogeologic / engineering data analysis and interpretation
  • Preparation of technical report

Skills / Qualifications

  • BS / MS in Civil / Environmental Engineering from ABET accredited university; MS preferred
  • Entry level position with 0 to 4 years of relevant education and hands-on experience conducting environmental investigation and remediation
  • Entry level (0 years’ experience) education related to remediation engineering including chemical, physical, and biological processes and water treatment is required
  • Entry level (1 to 4 years’ experience) with work experience related to design, construction, operation, and monitoring of remediation equipment and systems
  • Strong analytical, organization and communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills are a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Self-starter and motivated to do high quality work
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Willing to travel locally and out of the area as necessary
  • Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
